While I am not anyone that could begin to say if this looks feasible or not...it just strikes me as hard to imagine that every F-1 team (not to mention the car companies even though I saw in the news release that Daimler-Chrysler has a meeting with him) would not have beaten a path to his door to get this tech. if it really does increase efficiency even half of his claim of from 15% to 85%...
You have to remember that his technology only works for Forced-Induction applications; F1 cars are naturally aspirated. But, I know the point you are trying to make and I said the same thing to myself...
I dont know why people weren't knocking his door down begging for the technology. That I can't answer.
The fact remains that this isn't an "idea" or something in his head. He has a physical running engine using this technology so it can be demonstrated very easily.
I don't want to hijack CJ's thread.. I just thought he would of been interested since this is "bleeding edge" technology just like the car he is trying to build.
We can start a new thread on this topic if anyone wants to discuss...

Another week has gone by. We received the Inconel 41 mm intake valves. We are still awaiting the Inconel 35.5 mm exhaust valves. The Pauter rods were shipped and we have one GT3R crank for the stock bearings and one machined for the NASCAR oval bearings. Trouble is to use the NASCAR oval bearings and the machined GT3R crank, we need a different set of Pauter rods as the journals are smaller in diameter. We ordered these rods last week, they are seven weeks away.
The trials and tribulations of seeking the unknown. The last piece of the puzzle will be the intake from the throttle body to the heads.
The only surprise now for everyone will be the ECU. Not only will engine management be made to adapt to this shrinking violet motor, but the PSM thrush holds will also be modified.
More news on this after the tests are conducted.

We decided today to wait for the Pauter rods that will go with the GT3R crank that will utilize the NASCAR Oval Bearings. What convinced me to go this route is the power range of this motor will be between 4500 and 10,000 rpm's. Yes, the redline will be 10,000 rpm's.

We were going over the present gear ratio's with the 10K redline. First gear will have an approximate top speed of 78 mph. Second gear will be good for approx. 114 mph. Third gear will be good for approx. 150 mph. Top speed estimate is 266 mph.

carnut,
Yes, it is getting a little crazy. With everything that is being done to this engine, I hope we don't kill the drivability. This is going to be the big question. I believe the secret will lie in the cams.

With all the upgrades you´ve made, you´d probably slam into that 266 mph redline in 6th. Oh, that poor, POOR tranny

Actually, the only thing stock about the tranny is the case. Steel syncro's, billet Guard Gears which have been dry lube treated. The tranny cooler is by S-Car-Go. We used the following gears from first thru sixth.3.167:1, 1.938:1, 1.474:1, 1.174:1, 0.968:1 and 0.821:1
Stock gearing on the six speed is:
3.82:1, 2.05:1, 1.41:1, 1.12:1, 0.92:1 and 0.85:1
Stock TIP gears:
3.59:1, 2.19:1, 1.41:1, 1.00:1 and 0.83:1

Did you hear Alex will be boosting 46 PSI??!?!?!
