Stephen,

For reasons Todd mentioned, I'm just going to let S Car Go finish the motor and install. However, thanks for the offer. When they finally get the motor installed I'll trailer it to storage. I'm done with this car for the time being. I have no intentions of going through the tuning time and aggravation now.

It's time to move on. Disappointed ............ yes. Regrets ..... No.

Yes, the change over is still an issue without question.

Life is too short to worry any more about it. I've pretty much made up my mind to just pick her up and put her on blocks if she isn't fully ready by the end of January. I'm simply losing interest. It's time to move on. My guess is she won't be ready.
Hi Chad,

Well I am still sorry to hear it's ending You were always so enthusiastic and up front with all of the info and paved the way for many of us... I for one really wanted to see it run! I remember riding in her waaaaaayyy back then and it certainly got my need for speed juices going!

Alex,

Ending is not an appropiate word. On hold would be a better choice. Some of the best minds in the industry are looking at the timing/ECU issue. Let's see what happens. Time is one thing we have.

It seems to me like it should take you the same amount of time to pay their bills that it took them to build your motor.

You can cite unforeseen delays with the ballpoint pen, after some redesign and new inks you tried again to write it but the actual ball on the point wasn't within specifications, so another delay.
Finally the pen worked but unfortunately the weight of the paper of the check was undertoloreance so the ink ran.
Two can play that game I guess is my point.

I obviously don’t know the specifics of the relationship and don’t presume to but it does appear from an outside observer’s perspective that you are getting the short end of the stick here.
Whole countries have risen and fallen in less time

Heya Chad,

Well I'm glad it's only on hold then It of course became an immensely ambitious project but there was obviously a lot of great stuff covered, learned and paved...

PS Crap timing, I know... But I looked at the Excellence ad and saw the Scargo one was changed for the first time in sooo long and had a red 930 slant nose instead of your beast

eddie,

There is more than meets the eye. Rob and S Car Go Racing have donated alot of their time versus what they have been charging.

After all that you have talked everyone will walk all over you if you can't deliver or back it up. Sure you can say it doesn't matter, blah blah blah, but you will lose respect. You already are losing respect and any weight you might have had just by mentioning you might not finish the project.

It wouldn't have been a big deal if you didn't talk it up so much, you dug your own hole.

NO! no! no! no! NO!

You are NOT quitting this project. You need to finish it. Think about how much time you have put into the project. Think about how much you have invested into this project.

Think again about what you were planning on doing with the car when it was ready to do what you wanted to do with it. Relive those dreams you had while you were sleeping like a little boy at night...

Now listen to me again when I say this: you are NOT quitting this project! I don't care how much longer it takes to get the job done, it will be worth it. If you quit, trust me on this... you will regret it terribly in the coming future if not right away.

You are finishing the project, now go clean up your act son!

I spoke with Rob today. He said the heads were sent out to a head shop for assembly. The reason given was Porsche valves are metric, a little smaller and the stems a little thinner. The valves we are using are American, little larger and stems a little thicker.

To make a long story short, he will have them back sometime next week.

BMC also called, the tranny with rear LSD and front differencial was shipped back to S Car Go a few days ago.

sharkster,

I gave them to the last day of January to complete. Otherwise I will pick her up and trailer her to the warehouse.
