HRE vs Champion
HRE vs Champion
Looking for a little advice please…
What do you guys think… HRE P40 or Champion RG5??? (looking at machine finish)
Who can help with best pricing? I will stay with 19”, can I/do I go wider in the rear?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Ron.

Nice white Targa you got!
Both looks good, but I will pick Champion for its light weight advantage. Will not go wider than 305 rear wheels. I think the 235 front and 295 rear by Porsche spec. is optimal for our cars.
I personally is looking into a set of 18" Champion for track use. Good luck Ron.

Hello crhait,
For our 19" P40 setups we stay with an 8.5" front and 11" rear since the wider tires tend to be either shorter or taller than factory. The fronts come in at 21.5 lbs. and the rears are 25lbs. even.
If you wish to put your wheels on an even greater diet you can go with our Competition series that will save you another 1.5-2.5 lbs. per corner.
Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions.

Wheel Enhancement sells both Champion Motorsport and HRE wheels. The HRE P40 is a great new look with spokes that extend to the outside lip. There are also several finish options at no extra charge.
The Champion RG5 is a classic mesh design with a deeper outer lip on the rear wheels. They can be used in wider widths up to 9x19 front and 12x19 rear. They are a little lighter and a little less $$.

Ive always found HRE to be higher quality that Champion, and so have my customers. Go with HRE.

But another reason Champions are made for P cars...and there are LESS Champion wheels out there. It seems HRE although a GREAT WHEEL for sure...is a lot more popular...BMW, AUDI, and tons of otehr Porsches have HRE wheels. You roll on Champions...and not many other have them. I like the uniqueness and since they are made for our cars.

HRE WHEELS is a manufacturer, who makes wheels of the best quality made in the usa.Champion is a p-car dealer who has wheels made in japan and puts their logo on it.IMO I rather buy wheel from a company that all they do is spend a insane amount of time on R&D to develop the ultimate wheels for our cars.Sorry if i hurt some feelings but that is my opinion.

Thats fair and every individual is entitled to there own opinion. I've had sets of wheels from both manufacturer's and would lean towards Champion simply because I feel that they are superior in terms of weight, design and above all customer service.
At the end of the day whether it's HRE, BBS, FIKSE or Champion it's about persona preference and each has it's unique attraction to the customer.
Either, just stay with the one piece wheels.

Just opinion, but you never hear of any of the problems from HRE on the one piece.
