Black TechArt Qn

Do you guys know if the black Formula is painted or powder coated? I am going to get a wheel cleaner so I need to know exactly what it is, to prevent from using the wrong one.

I'm no expert in checking out wheels. But the shiny look and smooth feel on my Techarts is compatible with painted surface.

I have been using various Alloy wheels cleaners with no problem.

Great wheels, I wouldn't think they're powder coated. I don't know.

I don't think they are powdercoated. I never use any cleaner on my wheels. Just soap and water with a clean soft towel.

The 18" matte black wheels (BBS) are powder coated
The 19" and 20" gloss black wheels (Speedline) are painted

Soap and water is best for both finishes. It is best to clean the wheel often and not let the brake dust build up.
