H&R lowering Springs for C4S (Pic Request of possible)

Hello,

I am looking to lower my 2002 C4S using the H&R lowering springs. I have read the forums and it looks to be the best option for me as it is just a weekend car and I don't plan on doing much track racings, maybe once a year.....

H&R advertises that it will lower the car just 1", when measuring the gap it doesn't seem like it is enough, and I am realy hopping to balance out the look when comparing the wheel gap in the front versus the back.

Does anyone have pictures of their C4S with the H&R lowering springs?

I am also looking to purchase 20" rims if anyone has pictures of that aswell that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

If no pictures, please share your experiene regarding the H&R springs and/or 20" rims.

I'd like to know if I am going to be happy with the look, and performance.

I don't have mine yet, however I have seen one lowered and it looked good. Two items for thought, first you may want to put on spacers to move the weel out a bit or go to a wider rim, you can use 305's in the rear and 245's in the front, just ensure the offset is correct.
Now if you lower it the 20" rims won't work, personally I'm going to keep the stock rims but that's just me.

I was actually thinking of keeping the stocks and adding spacers as an option to 19 or 20 inch rims. I thinking would look good, but I'm not sure if I will just get bored and want to upgrade the rims regardless, in that case the spacers would have just been a waist.

Hi Blown,
my avatar is a pict of my C4S with H&R. I am running 18" with 36mm offset in the rear, and they fit flush with no rubbing. I think with 20" with wider tires and spacers, it will rub. I would also suggest you look into getting rear toe links and dog bones. Because with the H&R your rear alignment cannot be adjusted to porsche alignment spec, and you will wear your inner part of your rear tires very quickly. I have installed those this year, and it makes a difference in the handling.

Toe links and dog bones are a good idea, however, Porsche recommends 2* of toe out, when you lower it remove some of that toe out.

Not a C4S (obviously), but H&R sport springs on my C2 gave me the perfect amount of drop...

My avatar has mine with H&R springs. I have 19's on right now. I may go back to my 18's at some point though.

May I suggest going OEM, but RoW spec? Here is mine with 18s (roads suck too much to consider going to a larger rim)...

I don't have H&R lowering springs, but PO lowered my C4S with the PSS10 system. I love how it looks and I am told (though I cannot verify) it rides better than stock. Same color as your C4S, this might give you an idea
