2009 Boxster 2.9l, 17,000 miles,

came home last evening, parked in the garage, no issues.

Started car car this noon, ABS.PSM failure warning is lit up, drove about 10 miles, operation is normal, brakes, etc

any ideas?

A tech can probably query the ABS/PSM system for any errors and make an informed diagnosis. Absent a professional tech's diagnosis my WAG is a wheel speed sensor is bad. By "bad" I mean the sensor could really be bad, have failed, or the wiring harness may have experienced a broken wire, or just a speed sensor connector could be "loose"

If you had any work done on the car recently and in the area of the wheels/tires I'd probably suspect a loose connector..
