New to me 1988 Cabrilolet Lovin it!!

I've been lurking here for a long time and actually found the site from the VWVortex "The Car Lounge" Anyways I just picked up my childhood dream car two days ago. It's a 1988 Cabriolet in Marine Blue Metallic. It had 59K on the ticker when I brought it home. Many friends told me to get a coupe and not a Targa or Cabriolet. From a driver stand point I lusted over the late eighties coupe but always recalled the Cabriolets as being the "It" car of that period. I'm glad I went that route, I love hearing that flat six 3.2 behind me with the top down Also I always loved the sound of the aircooled cars above all, arguably above any car. Is it just me or is the sound of the motor just blissful beyond 4K. I've got a million questions about the car, but will try not to bombard everyone with them at once. Anyway I've attatched a few photos tell me what you all think?

Nice car, congrats.

You might want to register over at forums.pelicanparts.com, as that is the model-specific forum for the older cars with the most traffic and content, but the 6 wins in newer stuff and is the better spot to hang out

Nice cab...she looks pristeen. I have an 87 cuope and have owned it for 21 years....215K miles to date. The 3.2 can be modded to almost anything you want to get out of her. I know others will disagree, but I think these cars were the last of a great breed for Porsch.

I totally agree!! The 911 of this period is the finest...may not be the fastest but it has the best lines and as Walter Rohl said (the 3.2liter flat 6 is the best motor porsche ever created" (he owned a 1987 carrera coupe). He could have an porsche and look what he chooses)
