the 993 is more expensive to maintain than an 88 3.2. Do you have a G50 in the 88? that is a great car.
Last year I moved from an 80SC to a 96C2, but mostly I was tired of the Targa and wanted a coupe. I wish I had the room to have kept the SC, but it wouldn't have been driven much.
G50 3.2 is a great DD.

I am really happy with my 993 as a DD.

I say go for it! You will still have your SC so no real love loss of the 3.2 .

Kika....all 88's came with G50.

That is where I am, rather have a coupe than the targa, what I really want is either a C4S or a RSA. I like the 88, haven't modded it, so plain jane stock, although I do have a factory tail & new chin that I need to install.

Dont do it! Wait till you can afford to buy the other car with cash.
Currently, and this isn't including the projects that I'm trying to sell, this is my keeping list.
71 911 (back up Toad Hall roller)
78 911SC coupe
83 911SC cab
88 911 Carrera Targa
74 914-6GT clone
76 914
87 924S
86 944 track car (OK, this one is for sale)
So I have a few more cars than I really need and 5 of those will never be offered for sale or trade

hmmm...this is kinda tough, but i'd go for it. you have plenty for the 'older' 911's so why not? it would be a great daily also.

^I was thinking the same thing. lol

The other question I was thinking - Do you own any cars that aren't Porsches?

Either way, with the collection you have, I don't see why you wouldn't trade.
