Nice to see a familiar, er, face... Found my way here via in-person referral at a meet-up this past weekend, though, not from the 968 Forums. Gent was raving about the place, so I figured why not check it out...

Smile New 968 Owner

I bought my first 968 last Monday, after being a 924 owner for the last 20 yr's! (still have it), and am looking into fitting Sat Nav, as a double DIN type unit. Does anyone here have any information, on what can fit into the 968 centre console?

Some 968/944 owners have put in the Pioneer Avic D3 with with good success. A custom bezel surrround completes the installation nicely. You could probably put in the newer AVIC models as well.

Cool

Thanks for that! I have had my eye on the pioneer avic 900, I think it's called seems to tick all the boxes , but costs as much as a 'tidy' 924 at the moment ! Will have to give it some thought .

i just went through this - i wanted nav in the car - but, i didn't want to give up the ability to listen to a cd WHILE using active nav - none of the units that fit would do that - the only ones that would do both at the same time smacked the shifter when the face flipped down

i ended up with a single din unit with nav - JVC KD-NXD505 - i'll be installing it next week, along with a rockford fosgate 3sixty2, and the bluetooth module and ipod module

Well I went and blew £650.00 on the Kenwood DNX5220BT, double DIN unit to fit in the 968, I think its going to fit......without too much surgery to the centre console
