Does anyone know how to change the shift **** and boot?

I bought a new carbon fiber shift **** and boot for my 964 this past weekend at GAF in Ventura and pretty excited to see it in the car. I've seen pics and directions on how to take it off from a 993, but not exactly sure if it would be the same procedure for the 964. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it's a very similar (exactly the same?) procedure on a 964 as it is on a 993, but it's been many years since I had a 964 shifter/console apart. I'm guessing you've seen the pictures and description on p-car.com. If not, it will aid you in the process, and you'll be able to fill in the gaps yourself with any difference between the models, due the similarity.

Yeah, I saw that. I wanted to make sure the clasp that holds the boot to the center console were also on the same side (left side), like the 993. After taking the center console out, there were 2 clasp holding the boot down. I finally finished late last night, but I have to admit, it looks a lot better. MuffinMan, thanks for your input .

There seems to be a problem with the site uploading pics at the moment. I'm getting an error message, says to try again later. I'll try again tonight MuffinMan.

MuffinMan, are you unable to add attachment pics to any of the threads you are in?

I was able to attach pics to a few threads. Fire pics over to me at rob _at_gtc-motorsports.com and I'll see if I can post them.

Someone posted this is another thread and it seemed to work:

"You need to delete all your current attachments before you can upload new ones. I had this problem, and this seems to solve it."
