991tt or 991s + Boxster

1) The 2012 991S cars not only faced recalls but since it was a 1/2 year production shared with the 997S it creamed depreciation on both cars . The 997S was just leftover parts and the 991 had all the new car quirks to iron out.
2) I am seeing 2010 -2011 Turbo and Turbo s priced incredibly good with CPO and low miles .
3) If buying is limited to "new" only --Then I would get the new Turbo but i would wait a few months to allow any quirks in the launch cars to iron out .
For intance my 2007 Turbo i bought in LATE 2007 even though the car was launched in 06 as an 07 model .
4) The 180K bargain with "new"combination Porsche cars ?
a) 991S plus Cayenne V6
b) Cayenne Turbo plus Cayman S
5) The 180K modest spec Turbo S ought not be considered as a bargain or with logic. It is what it is -- expensive ,exclusive , and the latest/greatest of what Porsche is offering.

It will cost more to have two Porsches even though the initial cash out is similar. I myself would prefer a 991s with another non Porsche, or just all in on the turbo. Once you have two sport cars, it is hard to go back to one It is a very slippery slope from there.

going from 997 TT to 991 S you will immediately notice the huge torque difference. if this is important to you then IMO it will impact the feel and enjoyment of the 991S (after the new car thrills wear off)
I vote 991TT
I vote 991TT

Decided to put a deposit on the 991tt. As always I tell myself and really the wife that this will the last car I buy in a long time. Never quite works that way. I will continue to drive the 86 Targa for the semi convertible experience and the Ducati for the full open air experience. Thanks for all of your thoughts.
