Clunking noise

At 300 miles my new TTS Cab has started making clunking noises as the car slows to a stop. As it stops there is a rapid audible clunk-clunk-clunk, etc. coming from the front. The car is safe to drive according to the dealer who says it's brake rotors and has ordered new ones. They skirted the details about what is actually happening though. Does anyone have any ideas about what the actual fault could be?

Thanks in advance.

There was another guy on Rennlist in the 991TT Forum talking about the same thing.

The dealer said something about a defective Rotor on that one as well.

Thank you, that's me over there. Posts there show the problem is known by Porsche and they have a document describing the problem and solution.

I have the exact same problem. My dealer said it's fine and normal but it's still annoying as hell. Will someone please shed some light on it.

Here is the Porsche Technical Info on this issue. Not fine and not normal but supposedly still safe.

I was browsing the classifieds as I am waiting for my Turbo and starting to think more about the Turbo S

There's a slightly used Turbo S for sale with less than 1,000 km

I am ready to purchase the car but it's a used car showroom and they agreed all the terms but they refused a test drive.

I've bought tons of high end slightly-used, near-new cars from dealers and never, ever had any dealer refuse a test drive.

I'm starting to wonder if these issues are becoming more apparent during test drives?

Can we get some feedback from our fellow members about the issues they are facing with the car and/or the Porsche dealership willingness / ability to sort it out ?

Thanks for the help and guidance !
