Car stops all of a sudden?!?!?!

I've had my car for 3700 km now and have had no problems whatsoever, until today that is. On my way to work, I had automatically switched the "on/off" to raise the car's temperature because I had driven off with a cold start. Suddenly at the traffic lights, I noticed the car switch off and all the hazard lights had come on. I thought it may have automatically switched to the "on/off" system but when I gave it some gas, the car was still off and didn't move. I panicked but when I turned the car off and on manually via the keyless entry key inside the car, it turned back on and the car drove away normally. This happened to me twice today and I have no idea was causes it. Have any of you experienced this bug? It's really worrying.

Weird. Check your fuel. My car wouldnt start on my second day because although it showed it had a quarter tank, it was actually dead empty (im guessing the gauge was abit off due to it being parked for a long period of time at the dealer). I knew it needed fuel because a friend who had a C2S had the same issue whilst driving. In both those cases the cars wouldnt start up again without adding fuel.

I had just put in a full tank of gas lol. It was really, really weird. I think it has something to do with the on/off system or the battery. But then again, the car turned on normally when I turned the key off and on manually.

I'm thinking that too. I'm taking it tomorrow morning. But what does the battery have to do with disengaging the automatic start/stop function?

Turns out to be an impulse sensor on the crankshaft which is faulty. The car is in the workshop and it'll take several days to receive the part from Germany :'(

What does "on the crankshaft" mean? Will they need to open the motor for repairs? That would be discouraging to say the least.
