Ok, did my first launch control this morning (shhh, don't tell the break-in police). Was amazing!

And the universe didn't collapse? Amazing!! I don't plan to follow my break-in exactly either. I ventured up to 6k rpm in fourth at about the 700 mile mark. After 1,000 miles I will start progressively pushing above 4200 rpm - on a fully warmed engine of course. The only thing making me resist the LC is knowing that I will probably love it and just be tempted all the time. I read somewhere that the PDK was designed for 3,000 Launches but it wasn't confirmed or from a credible source. Just one of those "I heard" kind of facts...

Congrats on the awesome ride!

Congratulations on your decision and enjoy. Funny how the allure of the TTS grabs us. We start out wanting a 991 then we just go a bit nuts when we realize that there is another dimension to the TT/TTS. Good thing that the car delivers and actually is a very good value.

Great story, and beautiful new car! Funny, my road to the TT also started with some innocent questions I asked my sales person as I waited for my '13 C2S to be serviced, followed by a test drive, followed by . . .

Was with the Porsche group on some of our wide back country roads last weekend. I had it in Sport Plus which was a first for me. Have just hit 1000 miles. I was in "D" automatic and on straights was watching it shift at 7,200 rpms. Not sure if it shifts that high in Sport or Comfort? The thrill was moving along at 60 in SP and flooring this beast and hitting 150. All I can say is ,, amazing. First time for me hitting 7200 and it was sweet. Going out with the gang on the 21st and 28th and the night before I can hardly get any sleep. We leave early (six 911s) and have a blast. All of us are over 50 and semi mature.. lol
