When enough is enough..

just my 02.
love these threads. every car forum has them. new owners think the current model is the end all be all. until the next better model comes out. it's never enough. you can always have more power, more handling, more traction, more braking.

Nah 17psi is enough and if you can travel these roads faster please show me how it's done while not crossing the center line....

I have been thinking the same thing. I am a newb to my 991TT and seeing all these folks modifying to get more HP and speed just boggles my mind. I keep telling myself "they have more money than sense". I don't get it. If you want a fast 1/4 straight line car there are so many other cheaper ways to do it and if you want to drive the twisty's there aren't many that can handle the current power and capabilities of the car.
I do enjoy reading the posts though. If and that's a big if I did anything to my stock platform it would be exhaust for sound and new wheels for looks, that's it.

The Porsche is a pleasant surprise every time I take it in the canyons, it's almost relaxing it's so smooth...
Please let us know which cars...
Regarding the "be all and end all" comment, we are acutely aware that newer models and new models will have more dynamic capabilities than existing models. What is noteworthy about the 991 is the magnitude of the various improvements over the 997 versions. No doubt that the next body style of the 911 will offer yet more improvement in dynamic capabilities, as well as others aspects of the car.
The point of the OP's post is that the existing capabilities of the TT/TTS are enough for most of us and I agree. If anyone needs to be convinced, just ride with a pro and or factory driver around a road circuit in any 991 and then decide if you really need to modify the car or if you just need to learn how to drive the one that you have better.
I have to say there are so few real car guys here that actually drive their cars as they were designed.
They instead Pose or want to drag race and drive like complete fools..
This is the worst performance car forum I've ever been on....

LOL Banned, that's appropriate. If it sucks so bad, don't post. Now you can't.
I think his statement "this is the worst performance car forum I've ever been in..." may have been a contributing factor. Plus he was argumentative in many of his posts.
Kudos to the monitors!
