i can't speak from experience with the 991t but where the ipd plenum shines in my modded 96t is down low and mid level tq. that's where it excels and on canyons such as *we*" drive that is a perfect improvement and it is dramatic. again, not more *power* per se ( in spite of ipd's marketing info ) but definitively more torque and mid range response. just the kind of thing the canyon carver can use more of. i am very happy i installed mine, and i even went with a 68mm not the larger 73mm w gt3 tb.

just my 02.

onapex is infamous around these parts
love these threads. every car forum has them. new owners think the current model is the end all be all. until the next better model comes out. it's never enough. you can always have more power, more handling, more traction, more braking.

If you want a fast 1/4 straight line car there are so many other cheaper ways to do it and if you want to drive the twisty's there aren't many that can handle the current power and capabilities of the car.

I do enjoy reading the posts though. If and that's a big if I did anything to my stock platform it would be exhaust for sound and new wheels for looks, that's it.
Well there are many cheaper cars that can do the twisties too, way better than a 911 turbo.

Well the only car I know of is the Lotus Exige and it will need work to better the 991 Turbo S in the twisties..
The Porsche is a pleasant surprise every time I take it in the canyons, it's almost relaxing it's so smooth...

Kindly list the cars with the capability that you mention that are not modified.

Regarding the "be all and end all" comment, we are acutely aware that newer models and new models will have more dynamic capabilities than existing models. What is noteworthy about the 991 is the magnitude of the various improvements over the 997 versions. No doubt that the next body style of the 911 will offer yet more improvement in dynamic capabilities, as well as others aspects of the car.

The point of the OP's post is that the existing capabilities of the TT/TTS are enough for most of us and I agree. If anyone needs to be convinced, just ride with a pro and or factory driver around a road circuit in any 991 and then decide if you really need to modify the car or if you just need to learn how to drive the one that you have better.

I have to say there are so few real car guys here that actually drive their cars as they were designed.
They instead Pose or want to drag race and drive like complete fools..

This is the worst performance car forum I've ever been on....

I think his statement "this is the worst performance car forum I've ever been in..." may have been a contributing factor. Plus he was argumentative in many of his posts.

Kudos to the monitors!
