Well, after a good mountain drive yesterday in the cool air I realized I could not out drive the current engine performance as it is with the new exhaust....
During the 80 mi. run with not a single car in front of me the entire time I noticed the boost gauge go into the yellow range only twice and for a split second.
If you need more power in this car you are just driving straight...
Dam the Turbo S is a good car.. so my performance mods now will only be Forgeline wheels and tires....
I was set to have the IPD Y manifold installed next week and during my drive I realized I couldn't use any more power on the roads I like to drive quickly than what I have now...and I'm pretty quick in the canyons but unless you are a driving god with a death wish power is not this cars shortcoming.

I have been thinking the same thing. I am a newb to my 991TT and seeing all these folks modifying to get more HP and speed just boggles my mind. I keep telling myself "they have more money than sense". I don't get it. If you want a fast 1/4 straight line car there are so many other cheaper ways to do it and if you want to drive the twisty's there aren't many that can handle the current power and capabilities of the car.
I do enjoy reading the posts though. If and that's a big if I did anything to my stock platform it would be exhaust for sound and new wheels for looks, that's it.
I did want a better sound also but not at the cost of performance, so I think I got that covered now... My car has H&R lowering springs and the only thing I would like is firmer rebound in the front. The Porsche settings are just a little too soft making the front feel like it's almost bouncing on a rough road...
It's a awesome car that I intend to drive the **** out of well into it's extended warrantee..
Now I've got a few more bucks in the kitty for sticky rubber..
This is how I have my digital info setup.
The bar indicator turns to full yellow...but i haven't noticed what the psi. is since I'm movin too fast to take my eyes off the road..
You can always use more power... But it is not always about the power sometimes it is about the huge smile on your face when you hear the most intoxicating exhaust tone coming from YOUR car. If you are looking for a little bit of both, our system is the perfect balance of performance and sound gains.
Gains +37 horsepower and +47 ft/lbs of torque while shaving 15 lbs off of the rear of the car

Hey OP you may consider returning stock coils back to remove this bouncing. Low springs do this....only good for highway. Stock spring setup works perfect over irregular mountain roads and tight curves!

It's not the springs it's the dampers, they just make the front end feel light. Not enough rebound damping ..

Have you driven a stock TTS on same type roads? If you make the comparison you will find the stock suspension is perfect and with pddc on tight curves it is incredible.....no bouncy or light feel in front end at all! Porsche did amazing job! In just sport and pushing hard and fast in tight turns is not as controlled as with pddc sport plus I would agree there, but even so still it is still pretty amazing handling.

I drive the same roads with the Porsche as I do with my RS211 so I may be a little jaded when it comes to handling comparisons with a car that I've designed for canyon roads...
I am so totally amazed with the Turbo S's ability to cover ground quickly that I canceled my install of the IPD Y plenum install since more power is not what this car needs in my opinion,,, It just needs driver adjustability of the shock rebound....
Now if someone would offer an aftermarket shock control unit I'll be first in line...

Not so sure I agree. Porsche already matched the suspension so the car behaves properly on irregular mountain road surfaces. If you have chance to drive the car with stock suspension on mountain roads you will discover these low springs have compromised what Porsche has given you from factory and now make bouncy, mainly for lower look which is not always better anyway. Anyway I agree the engine is so strong now and fast now so why bother with i/plenum? Maybe Porsche stuttgart can make next tts.2 more powerful by just fitting this very amazing yplenum and save costly engine development and not even get the same power haha! Oh and nice car btw!

Thanks, but the springs have nothing to do with the bounce. It's all in the shock rebound.
You have compression [springs]and rebound control [shocks]...
Hey Frank, TPC does offer a DSC control unit for PASM cars although I am not sure if these units are compatible with the 991tt yet... Might want to check. Although pricey these things have gotten rave reviews.
