dubd is infamous around these parts
Thoughts on this lease?

I got this lease offer from a dealership. do you feel this is a bad or fair lease?

2015 Turbo. MSRP 167k Sell price 157k
36 months/5k miles/15k cap reduction/$2153 monthly payment
.240 money factor.

Bad. I can prob get you a much better deal.

Based on your numbers you are going to pay $2153 X 36 + $15,000 = $92,508 over three years to be able to drive the car 15,000 miles. That calculation is without any other fees or insurance.

Even if you assume the TT will lose 50% of its value over the same time, seems like purchasing the car has to be better than this.

Terrible. You could get that deal with less than 5k in cap reduction.

the MF alone should scare you away.


that's almost 6% in a 0% interest world.

I declined the deal because the MF was too high. I have tier 1 credit. Found a TTS at 200 MF, which I'm considering. The residual on this car is terrible!

PFS buyrate on lease is .00200 so there is markup in that deal = .00040 x 24 which is circa .96%

And there is about 11% from msrp to invoice so on a 160k car assume invoice is around 142k.
