My By Design Cobb stage III car had the best 991 trap speed on Sat at this event. My stage IV Turbo car with Cobb AP will be at the 1/4 mile event in Bakersfield next week and Shift Sector 1/2 mile event in Feb. With my By Design/ Cobb AP, I always point my one GoPro looking back. LOL!

Yes I agree and can confirm.... the car is while even in a "mild" tuned configuration, faster than 99% of the cars at these events. Meanwhile Sam/ Cobb via the AP has made the car a superb daily driver with stock like drive ability. A virtue very difficult to achieve in most race applications especially a car that will trap 170 in the 1/2.
Well honestly no body knows what Long have under the hood LOL
But yeah, if that red car have upgrade turbos is very slow... In my 1/2 mile event a VRtune 991 did 161mph (tune only) Long is around 164mph, IMHO a upgrade it turbo 991 will walk him

If everything go well I will go to the airport before the year end and see what my baby can do in the 1/2

Yeah a lot of hard work and dedication from the entire team on this one including you Nigel and out other clients. Can't wait to stretch it's legs my friend! It will be like a test and tune for us.
Close, here was mine in Sep 2014 with just the exhaust. It trapped 151 at 17.3 which is with Vbox. About three months later with the FVD piggyback I had a trap of 155 at 16.85 but I cut the speed too early and my top speed in the run was 156.3 while the terminal was 151. That is the second graph.

Sam...I think the point was not so much to make it a Cobb vs GIAC thing, but to show (or ask why) 991 Turbo cars with upgraded turbos are still not matching 997.2 cars with full bolt ons and stock turbos....yet.
If that 991 had upgraded VTG's then it should have been leaps and bounds faster then Adam's car, one would think. Especially since you say the Stage 3 was so close, if not just as fast as Adam all day.
My question would be what type of upgraded VTG's it had? That could make a big difference in what kind of power it's making.
