What is a reasonable dealer price for an alignment? Also would you go to a dealer or to a specialist?

My dealer is quoting $499.95 - which they claim is $399.95 for the alignment, and $100 to calibrate the ACC/PAS Eye.

Seems odd to me. On our Mercedes (which has ACC and Self-steering) the alignment doesn't require any calibration of the safety/autonomous driving equipment because the car is still supposed to go straight.

 

I just got one with my new tires for $250.

And I assume we're talking about the same dealer.

 

You have a heavier markup in that price... I ask for 349.99 all in or find a good local private tech with the specs.

I never really left (almost 12 years here)--- I have always been in and out of Porsches from the Turbos to the GT3.


I check this forum probably daily for great info and threads about new cars, power, races, wins, etc.

 

I paid about $250 at the dealership for a 4 wheel alignment after I installed the lowering springs.
