Well after a long time not owning a sports car, I am in market for new toy.
I was like a bee tasting all the flowers, like owning 997TT, Aston DB9, and lastly Ferrari 599 HGTE.
For more than a year I have a 2008 Mercedes S65 AMG for DD. I really love my car, it's fast and loaded with almost every option, but it only feels "fast" when it comes to driving pleasure. Yeah, it's all because of its 5-speed soo outdated transmission.
Anyway, I thought it's better to drive my 2015 Mercedes GL350 for daily drive and get a new sports-gt car for pleasure.
Eventhough I say I will drive it for pleasure, I use my cars in daily basis quite often. So as I was thinking which car should I buy, I came up with 3 cars;
1 - 2014 991TT.
I am huge fan of Porsche, almost had more than 6 Porsche's to date. And I have to say that I loved my 997TT more than 599 HGTE, which I both had them for 2 years. I just drove the 991TT once in a Porsche event and absolutely loved it.
So the car I am looking at is a 2014 991TT with 30.000 miles. It's dark blue metallic on the outside (love it), and black on the inside (hate it). So the color combo is the last combination I would get, but the car is pretty loaded. It looks likes it's almost a "Turbo S" with these options besides of the centerlocks and missing hp's.
It has PCCB, PDCC, PDLS+, Adaptive seats, glass sunroof, ACC, seat ventilation, keyless entry, steering wheel heating, clear glass taillights etc.
2 - 2015 Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe
Having owned the S65 for a quite time, I love the Mercedes AMG's in every aspect. But I am not a big fan of AMG V8's, maybe it's because I have the V12 and deeply in love with its crazy torque and noise. (especially at cold-starts )
So this car I am looking at, it's a 2015 S63 AMG Coupe, again with dark blue/black color combo. It has 10k miles on the odometer, ceramic brakes, 360 camera, Magic body control, magic sky control, head-up display, burmester sound system, night vision, swarovski headlights etc etc.
3 - 2013 Mercedes SL65 AMG
Okay I am not so fan of the R231 SL's but the V12 Biturbo engine gets me into it. The biggest reason I have this car on my list is because it's a V12 and has a 7G transmission. I know it's not so responsive comparing the S63's tranmission but I guess it should be way better than my 5-speed. Btw I have to mention I never drove a 65 engine with 7G.
It's Designo Magno Grey Matte / Black Designo combo, 13k miles, and it comes almost with every option available as it's a 65. But doesn't have the ceramic brakes.
So in conclusion; if you guys were in my shoes, which one would you pick? All the cars have almost the same price tag. And all of them are CPO'd.
I have a ML63 AMG with the 7G tranny....it is a fantastic vehicle that I love as my dd but the BIGGEST let down is that gearbox..stay away from that tranny..just my .02

It's usually a good idea to stay away from trannys.
Well, as others have said, these MB's are sporty, but are not sports cars.
Of the 3, I'm partial to the S63 coupe or the 911tt. I think the S coupe's look darn good, stealthier than a 911. It is, however, a luxury sporty coupe, and NOT a sports car. You've already got your GL for a DD - so why not the tt?
This being a 991tt sub forum, I think you'll get most posts pointing you in this direction.

This. My E63 DD is a wonderful car with an utter POS for a laggy delayed, annoying transmission.
The SLS has a fun transmission, but it wont handle the torque from the 5.5TT.
