Question Kline Headers with GIAC

I'm hoping some members can give some feedback on the Kline headers? Has anyone installed them with a GIAC flash? I've been thinking about doing headers for awhile but I'm concerned I won't really gain anything without using COBB software(I'm not going to change to COBB, I'm happy with GIAC). Does anyone have any information in regards to that? By the way please don't make this a COBB vs GIAC thread as that's not my intention. I believe their is enough room and respect to allow people to use different software. If you know me/read my posts you know I don't care for that arguing back and forth so if we can, please stay on topic Thanks everyone and looking forward to your input, Rich.

Hey Rich! I can tell you that you will benefit for sure and it's in more than one way. Yes there's a little horse power again and yes sometimes it can be manipulated in tuning. But you are also getting thermal benefits as well as a really cool change in the sound. I forgot, what exhausted you have? Again I think you will be totally fine with the software and if there were any issues I would stand behind the product for you. I believe we have headers on a few GIAC cars as well as other tuners out there on the 997 and 991 and everyone is really happy with the results.

Hope that helps

I can't tell you I about specific hp gains, but I can 100% tell you that the Kline inconel system with headers sounds fantastic. I removed a well known brand exhaust from my car and went to the Kline system and could not be happier. Actual hard numbers, I can't say anything with any certainty. But overall satisfaction with the Kline system, not anything to so with the Cobb aspect of it, is very high for me and I'm very picky. So if sound is a performance metric you are evaluating, I highly recommend Kline.

Can't speak about the tune don't have one on my 17. I do have the Kline inconel exhaust and headers. The system has transformed my car and I'm extremely happy with it and the service I received from Sam.

Hey Sam,
Thanks for the info. I appreciate you taking the time. I have a Tubi exhaust(with cats) now and I'm pretty happy with it. I've had Tubi's on my cars since the 996 Turbo. Always been happy with them and never had any issues(knock on wood lol). I know/understand that there is probably a added benefit if it was a Kline exhaust with the Kline headers but I don't see myself changing exhausts. That's why I'm so interested in hearing/learning about others experiences with adding headers but to a different "setup". Hopefully that makes sense. From what I read online, is their two different options with the Kline headers, inconel/Standard? It's been difficult to find specific information regarding just the Kline headers. Even Klines own site kind of lumps it in with the exhaust system. Unless I missed it. I appreciate everyone's feedback. I've had a fair amount of ppl PM me about this question since I wrote this thread so I think their is a lot of questions about it. Mostly about using headers in a GIAC and/or non Kline exhaust car. Hopefully this thread answers and becomes beneficial to a lot of us.

Sorry if I made it sound confusing. I agree with you you have a great system. There's no issue whatsoever using these manifolds with it. That's what I meant that I would stand behind a good result for you. As for the tuning you shouldn't need any further customization specific to the manifolds. Please excuse the typical Sambo/Siri typos haha. So they will work with any exhaust and any tune. Further tuning customization is it's own thing.

Sam could you "ballpark guess" on how much hp/tq would be gained adding headers? I haven't seen any dyno numbers without the exhaust system included. Appreciate all the information, I'm sure this thread will help others in the future. It really seems Kline is the only one making headers that have any positive feedback. I know when I first saw the stock headers I thought that would be one of the easiest and beneficial mods. Could you post what retail is on the Kline headers? Thank you, Rich

Cheers!
Give me a call anytime if you would like to go over more details or questions. The manifolds run from 2600 to about 4000 depending on material. I have tested and seen 15 hp to the wheels same day without even taking the car off the dyno. Like I mentioned the thermal advantages and sound are key players.
