Differences between 2016 and 2017 Turbo S

Hi All,

I've been looking at getting a 2017 Turbo S convertible.
I've been having some trouble identifying the true differences
between the model years, other than a modest increase in horsepower.

I'd appreciate any insights that you could give me.

Thanks,
David

Few cosmetic changes, HP bump, better infotainment.

This topic has been beaten to a pulp, may want to search.

Botox has a spectacular aura aboutBotox has a spectacular aura aboutBotox has a spectacular aura about
Steering wheel, PCM, different blind spot detectors on interior
Exterior: lighter forged wheels, revised ceramic brakes, larger turbos on the S, improved fuel delivery (Increased PSI). Many other revisions

2017 will be beast once the mods start flowing. 10.2 range with exhaust and stock tune. Bet it will be close to a 9 second car with tune and exhaust.

Very convincing argument. I have a test drive on Monday. Regarding mods, I'm not a track guy and I like a warranty.

Of course, having said that, an exhaust is a possibility. And of course, I did have my previous 2004 Turbo modified by Perfect Power in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. I wonder if they're still good?

Why not? I realize the cab isn't for everyone, but that's terrible advice. It's an awesome car in the cab.

Same question here. Why not a cab?

I just got my secondary water cooling pump replaced on warranty and my car is modded out the ***. Depends on the dealership, the one here in Austin is selling GIAC tunes now. When I first bought my car almost three years ago at Park Place in Dallas, the Austin dealership was not mod friendly. Even so, they did the AWD update without concern for the mods. Most tunes stay within the design limits and so probably won't cause any concern about the warranty.

Same here. Modding it from the front of the car is much much more difficult with these 911s.

I'm getting a Turbo Cab.
I wanted a Cab first, it just happens to be a 911 Turbo

I wanted a convertible since I was a little kid. This will be my first sports car.
