Thanks for sharing your experience.... Some good info that you have brought up.
I wish it was just one stop shopping but there are plenty of options to choose from that come at a wide variety of costs!
Agree too many good choices. The only advantage of the portable unit is to move it car to car. For the portable units, like V1, PP, or whatever else was smartly recommended - none are failsafe. Some provide more range than others, but even though with my lastest V1 softeware, software is not as good as the latest technology of the newer units, but does give me ample notice. The integrated devices can be great with the right installer not to mess up the wiring of the car. Need to check in your area and where you drive if a remote unit like AL is necessary. This is all technology and like an iPhone they can get out the leading-edge technology in a couple of years. In one of my cars, I have K40 and AL. The K40 is 4 years old and bearly meets requirements for ample warning. But as other said, need to have awareness and assistance with Waze. None are foolproof, nor is it an incentive to speed.

Love my ALP system

Just got my AntiLaser Priority and k40 360 radar systems migrated over to the TTS.

Worked with my installer (https://m.facebook.com/CarInstallationsCT/)to come up with a super clean/stealth install that I think came out great.

Highly recommend the system and installer (he’s done a few installs including front/rear cameras for me, and he is the primary resource for my local dealer).

Fabricated the piece to take place of the cigarette adapter and wrapped it in Alacantra.

Vortex Radar is pretty good and does his own tests.

I am interested in the ALP system. My question is since the system is not invisible and can be seen in the front and license plate area, if one is suspected of jamming and pulled over and the exposed hardware is seen can you be fined or worse?

All depends on the laws where you live (similarly to radar detectors). That said, the ALP system comestibles of the box as a Parking aid, and you can have multiple profiles to switch it to parking mode only.

Additionally, I have mine to detect-only below certain speeds (so if stopped, it won’t jam..it will only detect)

Currently, laser jamming devices are legal in all states except California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Radar jamming is illegal in all 50 states.
