Question 991.2 tts-- can heated and cooled seats be retrofited?

Hi. i'm looking at some used 991.2 tts that do not have heated and cooled seats, I'm wondering if the cost of retrofitting them makes sense, i have no idea what the cost would be.
thanks

Who buys a 200k car and cheap's out on $840 on seat ventilation, seat heating is free. There are hundreds of .2 TTS out there, find one with the options you want.

Not having such options will probably hurt the value of the beautiful TTS that you get.

Anything can be retrofitted but it would be extremely expensive. My suggestion would be to move on to a different car and less the car that you’re looking at is some unbelievably good price and you were willing to live without those items

The asking price is very tempting, no idea on retrofitting costs.
I'm in south Florida and drive the cars very often. Cooled seats are important to me.
Thanks

Call your local Porsche dealership and ask how many million they would charge to do this, sorry it won't be millions, it will just seem that way

I think it is doable but what it would cost and the headache you would save to retrofit the seats, would out weigh what you would save now on the car.

Rough math:
  • Used black 18way ventilated seats run anywhere around $4-6k each
  • A used center control unit (which i believe comes as a unit) is $6-800 from LA Distmantlers
  • Hardware needed, not sure if this is actually needed but I imagine a new harness would be required?
  • Finding a qualified person to program anything in case it needs to be added to the ecu or pcm
