Cool Vid, but there's no sound. Wish I could hear what is being described.

I think the red outline was comparing the outline of a 997 to the 991... That was kinda neat. Just shows how much they lengthened the wheelbase.

I found some interesting technical data in the Porsche Service Information Technical Manual that I thought some might be interested in:
1. The 991C2S has ¼ sq. feet less drag than the 997C2S at ~6.25’.
2. The 991C2S has the same drag as the 997 C2 (~6.5’). Smaller wheels perhaps?
3. The PASM Sports chassis (-20mm) for the first time has zero total lift on the car and perhaps more importantly slight lift on the front (.02*) and rear (-.02*). The 997C2S has .05 and .02 respectively with a total lift of .07. Hopefully the track guys will confirm that this helps them in high speed corners.

* Assume this is in KG as it was not marked

jdsc is infamous around these parts
It's interesting to note the difference just replacing the std front spoiler with the spasm spoiler and the difference in downforce with the higher rear angle of the rear spoiler.

By the way, who is this guy? gtpurelyporsche posted another video back in November that shows the 991 with the three different roof options available: No sunroof, sunroof, and glass sunroof. That was posted 5 months ago, long before the glass option was announced!

And one more that shows the rear spoiler at a higher angle when the sunroof is open. Can anyone confirm that this is actually the case?

With the engine running, I pushed the button to raise the spoiler. I then opened the sunroof, and nothing happened to the spoiler angle....

The wording in the Service Tech Manual is vague but it may be required to be activated at speed. Suggest you have someone follow you at above activation speed and see if it goes up more when you open the sunroof.

I think the video shows the difference btw. PASM and SPASM. At the very beginning of the last sequence you mentioned, the car lowers (i.e. change from PASM to SPASM), then the SPASM front spoiler comes on. And: Thanks for posting this video - very cool!

What I would be interested in is, what the SPASM spoiler lip does to the aerodynamocs of a PASM car? I like the looks of the SPASM spoiler better and would like to replace the PASM on with it on my car (cn easily be done). But I am afraid of worsening aerodynamics of my Carrera - especially at high speed. Any thoughts?
