No, seems to be as little as 10 days and up to about 13 - I am sure weather can play a role. I caught things right (keep your fingers crossed), my build was complete on March 5 and I may have keys in hand on March 30 - 25 days door to door. I will keep my fingers crossed for a short wait for you as well!

We will see.

Well, the delay cost me! See this thread...

Well, it is in port now. The satellite pictures on Google show a big port full of cars - looks much bigger, and more cars, than Davisville - but those shots are probably old. Should be heading to Tx today.

That's weird. I cannot track the ship on Marine Traffic. Is that how you found it?

It was in port and in range this morning at 6 am when I got up. But it shows out of range on that same website. I assume (and hope) that this just means it is done in Ga and back in the shipping lanes heading to you.

You and I are on very parallel paths - my wife is considering the same SUV. But she wants to wait for the new small SUV. She is going to retire early and I promised her whatever she wanted when she does...thank g-d she does not like Lamborghini or Ferrari!

Did your dealers provide you with the ship name? Also, from the time it left port to the time it arrived, approximately how long did that take?

I am eagerly waiting pics of your cars!!

I think it left Europe in the early morning of 3/8-3/9 and gerenb and I watched it glide into port in R.I. at about 8 pm on the 20th. I got official note from the dealer that it was on board the morning of 3/9 and official notice that it was off the ship on Thursday 3/22 first thing in the am when my salesman got in.

Newman ordered a cab that was delivered on the ship just before mine. I think his spent 13 days on the water. I don't know if that was because of weather, an earlier stop, such as in Halifax, or he is counting from official notice to official notice (10 actual days for me, 12 from notice to notice). So figure about two weeks to R.I.

Gerenb and I are optimistic of getting our cars, both coupes, at the end of the week. Newman's cab has been held up, possibly awaiting some arbitrary official release day in April. If you are waiting for a cab, this might or might not cause you a delay.

Yes, your dealer should have the name. Hope this helps and proves to be correct.

My understanding is that Porsche updates the system which shows which ship cars are on by Monday of each week.

For those that had their car on the Camellia Ace, what day did it port in Halifax? The Nippon Highway just landed there, and I'm trying to guesstimate how long it'll take to get to Houston.

It did not stop in Halifax. Not all of them do. It stopped in Davisville R.I. On the 22d

I was unaware of that, I thought they all made the same stops. Thank you very much for the info. How did you find out what ports the boat would stop at? Maybe the Nippon Highway will have a reduced number of stops as well.

Hi JB991 - either earlier in this thread or in another by Newman entitled something like "991s cab in US port", someone posted a schedule of several ships. We were not clear that it was correct for this year, but it seems to be close - at least in terms of the Camellia Ace.

What it did clearly suggest was that not every ship stops at every port - if memory served, it was about 1 per month for Halifax. Most, or at least many, based again on memory, stopped in Rhode Island and in Houston. Some stop also in Brunswick Georgia (the Camellia Ace did) and also in California. I have no idea how they found the schedule and it seems to be accurate - ish.

But if your car is made and you have a VIN number, I would be shocked if you had to wait more than another month, from door to door. Congratulations. What did you build?

I forgot to mention that I think it is about 7-10 days between R.I. and Houston. It is probably the lower end of the range if it does not stop in Ga. I would add a few more days from Halifax. But, of course, it is possible that it would go directly from Halifax to Houston. Hope you get it soon!
