So much for the Nippon Highway being early. Halifax showed initially the boat had an ETA of yesterday, 22 Mar, and updated this morning to mid day on the 25th now. waiting sucks

 

JB991, boy, you and I are on the same wavelength! I had just pulled up the same info about Halifax. And I am just as disappointed. Our two 991's are soulmates, however since you are in the Houston area, you'll get yours a few days before me. That sucks! The last few #'s in my VIN are 1730, what is yours?

 

1720 they've been riding back to back the whole way. If only this boat would turn the engines up a bit.

 

Congratulations on your new 991 purchase. I live up the road a few miles from you in Conroe and plan to order a base Carrera but have been holding out until (I hope) the demand lessens and I can get a better deal. Where did you order yours from?

Pins and needles doesn't describe it. I purchased mine through the dealer in San Antonio. No one in the state of TX would give me anything off that came close to the deal I made. A dealer in Dallas offered 1K off sticker, absolutely nothing in Houston as far as a discount, so took the $3500 that San Antonio gave me and ran with it.
Big discounts on the demo models, but I know how I drove the demo and didn't want a car that had 100 different people drive it the same way I did.

In the PM, that I was unable to send, I asked where you bought your 991 and how much discount you got. I will check with the SA dealer. It has always been my experience that you can never buy a car from a local dealer as they always think you will not go out of town and thus will not lower their prices enough. $3500 off sounds good for an early order. If I order now, by the time it delivered, the 2013's will be out. Maybe the best thing would be to wait for a 2013?
