It's hard to get a read on the color from the Porsche Car Configurator -- significant variance when looking at the color in 3D vs. low res. I am really looking forward to seeing the DBM in person on the 991, I'll keep an eye out for you on the 101

Happy Driving!
Hiya Asim,

I love it more than I even thought I would. I was really torn...I loved and still love the Platinum Silver, but there are a LOT of those in SF. The dark blue metallic is very elegant and really looks special. My neighbor just ordered a cab in the same color.

You will love it.

Mine is not on Camellia Ace. Mine shows ONVSL 3-14 but as yet the name of the ship doesn't show up on the Porsche Vehicle Shipping Schedule table. Porsche updates that info on a weekly basis, supposedly on Mondays per my dealer. Looks like the Camellia Ace left Germany (Emden?, Bremmerhaven?) due in Houston 3-29. So, extrapolating from that info, my car should arrive Houston about April 3 or so. I looked on marinetraffic.com and could not located the Camellia Ace. Anybody have in luck in tracking ships?

When the ships are out in the open water, they are out of range for tracking purposes. They pop back up when they approach the mainland. Congrats!

Just heard from my salesman that the ship carrying my 991 is not due into R.I unil the 23! I was hoping that it would be the 20th. He did not confrim the name. But that would square with your date of the 29th and that the delivery dates are about 5 days apart.
Let you know if I hear more.

I think you too are on the Camellia Ace. The tracking shows an estimated arrival in RI on the 20th. If so, there MAY be an early surprise!

Just heard back from my salesman who confirmed that that is the ship I am waiting for! I love the positive attitude and I will keep hoping. But, worst case seems to be in port on Friday!

I seem to recall Newman (whom I hope is at the dealer getting his today) saying his ship took 13 days to make the trip. The site he provided showed the CA in port T about midnight on the 8th. Don't know if that is the time it left, but I got word the boat was on the water on the morning of the 9th. 13 days is the 22d so it is going to be close either way. But it should be this week.

Gerenb - Thank you. That would be great for me - tomorrow! But I think it is a day or two later than Gleek48 was expecting. If this is correct, and they are on schedule, I should know tomorrow or Wednesday. Interesting, the ship expects to be in Davisville for 20 hours, Brunswick (Ga) for 14 hours, Houston for 1 day, 18 hours and 43 minutes and 4 hours in Veracruz. I have to assume that there is liberty in Houston, but even so, it looks like the lion share of the cars are getting off in Texas!

Hello all, been lurking the forums for a while, but finally got notification that my 991S made it out to sea. She's on the Nippon Highway. I checked some of the tracking sites, and see it's "out of range" Any way to look and see a manifest or schedule of stops with dates?

Guess what showed up, literally two minutes ago, on marinetraffic.com - the CA and it is off of the coast of Rhode Island!

Looks like like late afternoon on the 20th was correct after all - Thank you Newman and thank you gerenb!

Gleek48, looks like you will have your car very soon!

I was surfing the web yesterday afternoon and saw the Nippon Highway getting ready to enter the open Atlantic off the coast of France.

Looks like I'll be driving my blue beauty by 4/1. I hope I don't get a reckless driving ticket for excessive speed this time. When I bought my Cayman S a few years back, I ended up in court after only a few months.

I should be ok, right? The 991S only has 100 more HP.

More good news, they have moved up the ETA - it is 6 hours ahead of schedule. If they keep this up, you may get an extra day off out of it. Waiting has been HE-double hockey sticks, but this site and it contributors have made it easier. We will keep up with you until you get it - and after. Congrats to you too gerneb - and thanks for finding the schedule and posting it! I can't wait to see pictures.

Where is Newman? Out driving I hope - it is a glorious day - would be a great day to pick up his cab!
