The good news is you live in Italy. The bad news is you live in Italy. Everything works in Italy. But on schedule, not so much. What did you build? Please post pictures when you get it. Drive in good health!

Now that IS good news! This waiting is killing me! Any news from your end Gleek48? My dealer has been quite...too quiet. Intersetingly, my car has never shown up on the dealer website - I think that since it is already sold, they do not bother. Plus, they are one of the biggest Porsche dealers in these parts so the do not have to "pump up" their inventory. Who knows.

I went for something a bit different this time, my 997.2 is Aqua Blue and even though I love it I just couldn't do 2 in a row the same color.

Base 911, 7 speed manual
Ruby Red
Agate / Pebble Gray full leather
Premium Package
Ventilated Seats
Bose sound Package
Sunroof
20" "S" wheels
PASM
Sport Chrono
Model Designation "911"
Colored Center Caps
Steering Wheel Heating

My daily driver, no track (maybe a little!) time. Comfort and performance were the requirements.

Should turn a lot of heads! I should have gone with the Model designation, or the delete. Oh well.

I love my 991s so much, after 3 weeks. I am finding the weakest excuses to go out and 'do errands' for my wife. When I shop for groceries I buy one item, and from the farthest market possible.

The car looks and feels really special, and people approach to me ask me about it daily, and I am in a neighborhood in San Francisco with 4 911's on the block.

We are all very privileged to be able to own and drive these. You guys waiting for yours are in for such a pleasure.

I saw a ruby red at my dealer. It was parked right next to my car on delivery day. I thought it looked decent. If I didn't know the color name, I would have called it maroon. My GR looked way to flashy compared to the more respectable ruby red.

I'm getting nervous. Mine's been in port for a week... what are they waiting for- repainting the bumper? They say 3-5 days. I want to rent a flatbed and go down there and pick it up myself.

The port is controlled by the government - and they are here to help you!

Gleek48,

According to Newman and a website he found, our ship may come in sooner than I thought - scheduled for Tuesday the 20th!

This is good all around!

Great news indeed! I've been out of town for a little bit. My March 29th estimate was for the Texas port. I would expect RI a week earlier or so (just a guess).

The ship my car was on was the Cougar Ace which left Davisville after a two day stop (60 hours) on March 15 and is due in Houston on the 20th- 5 days.

Hi Arthur --

A fellow bay area resident here. I ordered a 991S Cabriolet 7-Spd in a DBM/BLK recently from Carlsen (April Build Date). It was great to see another Norcal'er with the DBM. How are you enjoying the color after a few weeks with the car? It's hard to get a read on the color from the Porsche Car Configurator -- significant variance when looking at the color in 3D vs. low res. I am really looking forward to seeing the DBM in person on the 991, I'll keep an eye out for you on the 101

Happy Driving!
