Not sure if you guys have seen this one. Worth a look though. 458 gets outrun by the Porsche on Japanese motorway. The Porsche driver gets away scott free but poor 458 driver gets stitched up by the youtube nannas and is busted by the cops. Ferrari sounds very nice though....

The lesson here is don't ever show your face, where you work, where you park etc etc if you load video content of your driving exploits onto youtube.

The F. sounds amazing and goes like hell, but I have to say... he got what's coming to him.
It's one thing having some fun and opening her up but if ya want to do this type of thing... that's just plain dangerous on public roads, it looked exciting and all but this type of irresponsible behavior... and from an MD no less...
Not to mention being recognizable and putting it on You tube for crying out loud!

The guy is flying by pedestrians, cyclist and other vehicles trying to turn onto the roads in front of him... that is an accident waiting to happen!
Nope, if ya really have to try your luck... find a nice quiet highway in the country somewhere (for those whom aren't lucky enough to have the outback) where there isn't a soul insight for miles and miles or better yet, get together with a few mates and let the testosterone fly on the track.

Wonder what the penalty was... here you'd loose your ride, license and get a 10K fine

Im hearing ya. He was cutting it pretty close when he zig zagged that van and car and shaved the peds at full noise. Getting outrun by that turbo Porsche must have got him all worked up i'd say. I guess he could use the excuse he was racing to fukashima to help out at the plant All he needed was some magnetic lights and sirens on the roof and the cops might have waved him thru... Jk of course.

 

Funny you're saying that... as a kid I wanted to be in the Dutch "Royal Highway Patrol" they drive around the country in 991 Targa's and Turbo's.
Ya get to break all the laws, get into high speed pursuits, train on the track a mandatory minimum amount of ours, get the latests and greatest 911 and... get paid for it!
As a kid, that was the bomb!

 

I think they still have 911 as cop cars in germany? But in most places, well out here anyway, nanna is saying even police pursuits should be banned. Minority seems to rule these days....or is pushing to. The crims like the idea anyway.

 

I agree that he's reckless, and apparently not that great a driver either. I sometimes drive that fast or faster, but only in areas where I'm pretty much by myself.

That road at the end looks awesome though, like something straight outta Forza. If it were more secluded (far more) would be a fun drive. But someone needs to tell that guy there are places where you can do all of that you want to. THE TRACK!!

Interesting. Here in the states a good lawyer could probably get the case thrown out or the sentence reduced, because speeds calculated from a YouTube video on the internet is hardly solid evidence. (Not that I am a big fan of legal shenanigans but I guess they have their place.) Hopefully he will be able to keep his car, pay a fine, and learn his lesson.
Maybe even throw in some community service at his local track! If the judge lets him keep the car but takes away the red gloves then justice is served!

Looking at the clip it was quite classy and well done. The Doc obviously started out with best intentions of showcasing his car but just got a bit carried away after donning those silly red gloves....it all went to his head a bit. Then, after getting surprisingly outrun by the turbo, which reminded him his beloved 458 had vulnerablities, he then vented onto the public streets by entering into his own little private race. Quite entertaining though, even if it was somewhat reckless at times....

 

Very reckless but the guy did bring it on some narrow roads. Crazy.

 

Truly beautifull alright...no one could honestly deny that. I agree that most of us here would be guilty of letting the beast off the chain on the odd occasson (or at every given opportunity)...when it all looks safe that is. When you look at it there really were only a few instances where the Doc got a bit carried away (eg; between the 2 vans and past those pedestrians and cylist on that real narrow rd, but other than that it was reasonably kosher given the obvious temptations of the toy combined with that lovely windy vacant country road setting. Anyway he's in the poop good and proper now. Guy in the white turbo has probably seen himself on camera by now and is thanking his lucky stars he didn't allow the 458 to get close enough for anyone to read his number plate.

Yeh it can't be said he wasn't getting stuck into it.....especially on those last few stretches.
