Traction Control On 991S
Traction Control On 991S
I just wondering why the traction control on this 991 S 2012 is very controllable by the electronic, I even cant drift the car,or donuts the car, after turn off the traction control, the cars just not spinning much ,just a little. and cannot burn out the car also..
Did I need to go to porsche centre to change the setting?

OK I'll bite....
Yes, you should immediately go to your Porsche dealer and have them disable all safety features so that you can drift it and do donuts. I hear there's a burnout contest tonight at the drag strip, maybe you can get it done in time to participate in the contest. Surely you can beat the kid in the Civic that won last week...

No im not participate any contest or event.
because what im experience even putting off the traction control is seems like still on.
its make the car not so fun!.. maybe I can ask the porsche dealer to turn it off the safety feature. just wondering any guys here change the setting of the traction control?
like it lost its power , very controllable by the electronic...
but after all the car is awesome

Many drivers feel this way..I don't equate drifting the car with being inmature.
Anyone on the track should be controlling slip angles so it is important.

Don't take this personally, but your situation seems more like a lack of driver input, rather than the car's lack of ability to do said drifts and burnouts. The 991 is definitely drift-able, as pointed out, just look at all the video reviews showing it. I can say from experience that this car is definitely more planted and less twitchy than the 997 911, but not by any means overly so. I don't know what kind of car you're coming from, or usually drive, but judging by the priority of burnouts and drifts, maybe a reassessment of driving style is needed?
I suggest you 'practice' a bit. My time behind the wheel of a 991s was fun because I drive a 4s, which typically won't break loss off the line in a straight line. Setting up for Launch, disable the traction control, and right foot it. The car will move it's tail. Also allow a comfort zone.
