Power Steering Plus

This is an option I desperately tried to delete but my order was already locked. To make matters worse, the dealer told me it couldn't be turned off. Well, now that I have the car I can report that it's not a big deal. It basically makes the steering effort light when parking the car in a parking lot. The good news is that it appears to somehow know when you leave the parking lot and switches it back to normal above 10 miles per hour. I know that it's supposed to fully turn off over 30 but the reality is that it's gone a lot sooner, which is fine by me. YMMV

I noticed the same thing and I sure the ladies will enjoy parking it.

Great to know, thanks for posting.

I considered ordering it, then passed. Good to know it wouldn't have made a difference. I test drove a car with it, and couldn't detect any more boost after leaving the lot.

I like this option.

Confortable in the parking lot only, not more. I added it for that reason, and i like it.

When you get out of parking, this option became useless and the steering wheel get back to "normal".

Just a little "toy"...

Yes, but only in the parking lot.

Good to hear. I also put it on mine and then started second guessing that decision.

Any more pictures of your gorgeous Aqua ? I should have mine in the next few weeks.

A car I am looking at has this feature, is it a deal breaker? I live in Manhattan.

Hi Guys,

i just came back from a full day at MISANO INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY (yesterday).

I had more than one hour on the track and i tryed 3 991 S, with and without Pwer Steering Plus.

Than, i can say that, after you leave the pit lane, it makes NO difference at all.

As i already told here, this option is a PLUS ONLY for a more confortable use. parking lots, small maneuvres and...yes, just to steer with one finger. Yes, till a certain speed (low speed, then the car "becames" normal).

I LIKE IT VERY MUCH. You will LIKE it too in Manhattan, i think!

I drove one with and one without and it doesn't feel like a 911 in the parking lot but at 25 and above I didn't notice the difference. On balance if your wife / girlfriend is driving the car, it's a good option- and it's not that expensive.
