Pull through for my 997.2 .. (wait or go?)

Dealer called me today, pretty pumped now! Porsche just released a pull through option for the 997.2 cars (up to 3 months of payments) if you are handing in your 997.2 for a 991. I leased my current Targa because I knew the 991 was around the corner, just didn't realize there might not be any C4 or C4S's when I was ready or willing!

Now the fun begins however they are saying to get the car for September the order needs to go in now! This is my DD and I drive it in the winter (my driveway is steep). I have a very very short commute to the office and after 16 months of ownership only have 14500km on it and I am allowed 24k.

Key facts/questions?:

- Lease up on 14th of Dec, pull through as early as 14th of Sept?
- C2S ok for winter? The Targa was amazing?
- Will 19" C4, Carerra Sport 997.2 winter package fit on 991 C2S?
- Release or buy is the magic question now, I hate standard Porsche leases?

My other final option was just to get an M5 (MT new one) for now and then wait a year till all the 991 lineup was out. Just don't know if I could be without a sports car - its that addictive!

Funny .. one of my posts yesterday mentioned "lease deals" so I guessed close . IMO .. they are already desperate and want your current car as well.

I'd wait . In fact .. I am waiting.

PS . see if the "pull trough" applies to a Turbo along with a good purchase deal.

Forget the M5 or the 991 ... 997 Turbo is the car to negotiate on in my opinion.

I will - good idea! I just think its a great way to get 6k off the 991 without negotiating, hoping for another 3-4k on-top! There is a 997 Turbo Cab there, but I just love the new 991 so much!!

with putting so few miles, why not buy your car end of lease and wait till
the new c4s come out.

a lot of money to lease something you don't use much.

factor in $5k for an exhaust system for the turbo unless you like driving something not too unlike the silence of an electric vehile

Ok so I decided to wait this out and see what comes of the 4S and possibly GT3 - will either keep the Targa or hand it back in at the end of the lease. I am not in a rush and think I am going to try the M5 for a few months and get that itch out of my system; I have no idea what it is but its always been a car I have wanted to own again.

P.S. My Targa has been in 3 accidents (non fault) so I really don't want to own it

Oh man. What happened? That is my biggest fear! With the stopping power of these cars, I just know I'm going to get rear ended by some moron tailgating me in a pickup truck....
