If I hadn't owned a 997 before this one I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I'm also enjoying the Pirelli PZERO's over the Michellin PS2's. Much better grip IMO. Can't wait for the turbo! Alright guys just wanted to let you know how it was going! Take care!
Thanks for the update and glad to hear it's treating you well. I've thought I've noticed the Pzero's have better traction also. It would be nice to see some numbers on that and the noise.

Have a great drive.

PS I find myself driving my bike less also.

The default is off. I smell something amiss for sure.

The default for Auto Start Stop is "ON", unless you selct "Sport" or "Sport Plus." Selecting these turns it off.

What build date do you have? I have an April date with the default OFF. Maybe earlier dates were ON?

My Auto Start/Stop is always "off", unless I turn it "on" manually by pushing its switch. When it is "off" the red indicator light glows. When I manually turn the Auto Start/Stop "on" the light goes out. Auto Start/Stop will not function in Sport or Sport+ modes. 991S/January 13, 2012 build.

My car is a 2013. I just took delivery of it 3 Weeks ago today. The build date was July 27, 2012, which is after yours.

The physical button in my car says "Off" in very small print at the bottom of the printed "A". When I depress the button and the little red LED light comes ON, this means that I have disabled the Auto Start Stop Feature. Kind of weird, but the light On means Off.

I certainly don't mind anyone stating their opinion....but I don't like that it was out of context of this thread. No one was talking about the looks of the 991. Either put your comments in a thread about the appearance or start your own if there is no thread.

I remember when I bought my 997 in 2005 that many trolls emerged from the forest.

I bet the European spec 991 has the function default as ON. Guessing though.

In regards to the Auto Start/Stop, this may be dependant on which transmission we have. . . MT or PDK. PDK cars have a "Coasting Function," which is probably set to ON as default. This requires the Auto Start/Stop to be deactivated to work. My car is a MT, so I don't have the Coasting Function and my Auto Start/Stop default is ON.

OK. . . I promise this is the last time I write on this topic, but I think I just figured it out. I tried a couple of things while I was out and about this morning and found out that my car simply remembers the last position I had set before turning the ignition off for Auto Stop/Start. The only thing I do not know is if this has to do with Porsche Entry and Drive, which I do have.
