Anybody here going to the PCA Escape to the Ozarks this week-end? Not sure if I will, but I'm thinking of making a quick run there to check out the scene. Apparently, they have over 500 cars registered.

 

I will be there. I think it's 500 people and 300 cars.

Well, it was a great time as Escape with plenty of food, wine, festivities and tech sessions (including a great discussion of early racing by quick Vic. Cars there ranged from a few 356s and 991s to loads of others (including a 917 we found in the area).

Thank you for posting, it looks like you had a great turn out and the weather looks amazing. How many cars ended up coming out ?

 

There were more than 300 signed up and though I didn't count them it looked like every bit of that.

I'm still not convinced it was a 917 (pictured below). A bi-stander told me it was, and it did look just like it but I didn't get a chance to ask the owner about it. I know the later ones had 12 cylinder engines and this one had a six. Does anyone know if the real early ones had a 6. In any event It was probably a 300 HP go-cart.
