I owned a 2007 boxster s and then switched to a 2007 cayman s, big mistake IMHO as I missed the top down driving

I test drove a 987 boxster s, 991 coupe and cab base models with pdk and pse

The most memorable was 991s cab pdk but yesterday I drove the 991 c4 coupe and c4 was more fun and confidence inspiring than c2 IMO ESP in the ny,nj weather


I like the looks of the new boxster s but I am more excited driving a 911 , it feels more fun than boxster s for some reason, prolly due to rear engine dynamics etc

I know the difference is appx 40k on 911c4 cab-125k compared to boxster s - 85k with the options I want such as pdk,sc, burmester, pse, Pasm etc

I am happy with c4 power and it feels more zippy than boxster s 3.4

I think the 911 cab is more solid due to magnesium panels and less drafty top down than boxster s but I need a little more convincing that the extra 40k on c4 cab is worth it


Please help me decide

 

Get the wide body cab, but I'm just a little tiny bit biased.
I love the cab, always have...it feels like taking a holiday just doing arrant hehehe and now with the newly designed roof it looks amazing.

Really no comparison to the boxter... it looks great and is a lot of fun but if $$ was no object I know many, many, many who would trade their boxter for a 991 in a heart beat.
The other way around...ahem... not so much.
