Northern vs. Southern hemisphere fuel consumption

As those of you that are members of the flat Earth society know, those that drive their Porsches in the northern hemisphere always drive uphill, even if you don't. As a consequence of that you burn a lot of fuel.
On the other hand, if you drive your Porsche in the southern hemisphere you always drive downhill. Thus you hardly use any fuel at all.

As proof of this I offer exhibit "A". Fuel consumption average as recorded over a staggering 4627Km driving, naturally, downhill (American's will find this converts to less than 1/2 Gallon per 62 miles). This proof cannot be attacked as it is recorded by a German made precision instrument with 4 wheels, very big and nice wheels at that.

This concludes today's physics lesson.

Parlor tricks! Everyone knows it depends totally on which way you were driving. You were going in the same direction as the earth's rotation. Wait til you see the milage on your way back.

I get 147 mpg US. Not bad for all those up-hill climb testimonials. Are you in the roaring 40s down there and put a sail up, Rainier?

Did you get the 991 Flintstone pedal power option? Porsche Exclusive does the cutout foot holes and pedals for some exorbitant price.

Not a plug in at all. That does not work in the Southern Hemisphere anyway as electricity flows downhill too so we have none as all of it is by now in the sea !

I promise I did not do any backwards driving either. Of course, driving backwards only works in the Northern Hemisphere but can't be done for long as the fuel tank starts to overflow - which is why, for best effect, you need to start your backwards driving with an empty fuel tank.

I bet you didn't know that

So if I drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco, I'll get really bad mileage because I'm going uphill?

Well, it's Northern Hemisphere so you are screwed. It's uphill in any direction. Including taxes I may add...

Not in Texas; housing is inexpensive (with reasonable property taxes) and there's no income tax. And there's lots of wind for sailing.
