Question Trading new C4S MT for 11 GT3

Howdy,
I was in the market for a low miles GT3, but I ended up getting seduced by the dealer buying a new 991 MT C4S a couple of weeks ago at a great price. (fully loaded with sports plus, exaust, blipped, etc)

My hope was that the noise and the clutch will be close to the GT'3s
but not... Still, I have to admit the C4S is probably overall, the BEST car I ve ever drove.
But the GT3 is the legend for me and has been a long long long long long time target...

Yesterday, I was encountered with a rare opportunity to trade my new C4S ) almost to the price I paid originally, with a 2011 GT3 ~4K miles CPO'ed, and PPI'ed.
I have a couple of days left to decide; Who.. thinks .. I should do this?
The $$ difference is negligible.

Imagine the GT3 is the king for you and you just DON'T care about hardness
or weather conditions.
On the other hand ,you have the statement of all P-cars designs, the golden section, the intelligent, the AWD C4S, the AI blipper, the amazing interface, the smoothies, the royal feeling air-conditioning your butt , state of the art in technology, what an amazing beauty the C4S... - such a good wife that at the same time can be very naughty...hugging the road like nothing else...

And in the other corner, the stripper (GT3) is there, careful!!...don't listen at her throttle Ulysses! she will devour your brains !!!

what a dilemma huh?
I usually drive my P-cars so In terms of investment, I computed the depreciation as follows:

Used 2011 GT3 Depreciation in 1 year 24K miles: 16K

New 2013 4S Depreciation in 1 year 20K miles : at least 26K (partly because fully loaded)

Any serious advise will be greatly appeciated! --oh and the new upcoming GT3 is absolutely NOT an option for me as it is PDK

I say go for the stripper
Who knows if you'll have such an opportunity again. You can get a PDK p car anywhere down the road, whereas the mt gt3 will keep being harder and harder to find, making it all the more special.

Both great rides - for me I would get the C4S and thats only because I don't have time to track and I feel that you could extract more of the C4S potential as a DD. I really miss my Targa4S - so stupid for letting it go!!

The reality is the C4S probably will almost outperform the GT3. It will also give you the comfort and drivability as a DD that isn't that great from the GT3. You didn't mention, I believe , if you had the power pkge and/or exclusive front and rear spoilers. If so, then you have it all with the C4S over the GT3.
I have had two GT3's and they were great. I didn't do much on the track so now the 991 C2S is more attractive.

Get the 3. Drive them side by side and see what excites you. It will be the 3. See my signature. I look forward to upcoming track days with my friends and enjoy getting better at H/T. Perhaps later you can add a 6MT 911 c2S or 4S if the front lip scraping bugs you too much or the ride is too harsh. Wife doesn't like riding in the 3 because of its roughness FWIW. And she has a MT Boxster as her DD.

If the decisions you make usually work out in the end, go for what you want; you've earned it.

I'm afraid that this is a decision that only you can take. I would go with the C4S, but if you love to track it and the GT3 feeling of "race car" then go for it. There's no wrong decision here, either cars are amazing but for different people.

Enjoy your dilemma, it's a great experience

If you have the stamina the stripper will thrill you.... but can you live with her long term? She most likely also has a history.

I used to have one and loved her but I've decided to go for the longer term relationship with my 991. Super happy with her! ..... At least until I see the 991 GT3.

Totally agreed with others, if plan to track then stripper will be best option for feel, will not be as fast on track as c4s 991s but the feel is sublime and engagement is unmatched.

If dd not sure is best car, it was between a 991s or 2011 gt3, I ended up buying the 991s with PDK due to the traffic I had to deal with in my commute. Love the 991s but steering and engaging all your sense the gt3 can't be match

Either way both cars are fab in their own right

It's completely obvious from the way you wrote that the GT3 is the right car for you at this point in time. In a couple of years, you may change your mind; you can simply change cars then. Buying a 911 is clearly not a purely rational and calculated decision, so get the object of your desire!

My dear friend, isn't this the case with all of our past P-carS?
I can't think of ONE that I didn't miss

Did I mention I don't do the tracking thing?

thank you for the advise, I appreciate especially because you had both.
The issue in terms of performance, first the GT3 will take down the CS4
IMO even with a power package.
The dynamics are so different when you ride it.
Its like comparing apples and oranges..
And above all, you don't get that great and hard clutch on the CS4...
do you remember how that shifter's feedback was
