Lease or financing deals for custom C2S for March?

Hi everyone,

I know this is kind of last second but the ship that my car is on is scheduled to dock tomorrow (3/30), so she should finally be in my possession in (I'm guessing) 1-2 weeks! I've already read about the 2-year lease special they have for the base C2 with the high residuals, but I'm guessing that one doesn't apply for the S or custom orders? I was wondering if anyone knew about any lease or financing deals for March that could be applied to a custom ordered C2S. From what I've read, I should be able to "lock in" the deal even before I take delivery? Although my dealer seemed to imply I couldn't.

The best I could come up with was this:

http://www.edmunds.com/porsche/911/2...=financing_irr

Do you guys think 2.49% for 60 month financing is a good deal for Porsche? Or should I just wait and see what becomes available when April rolls around?

Thanks!

hey 007,

the special lease residual applies to both base and S. also custom order, as long as its here at the dealer before the end of the quarter when the special may cease to exist. not sure if the dealer can lock in the rate already if its on a boat, but you could try. it maybe even worth while to start the lease and pay the 2 weeks while its on the boat to get the lease special. the dealer should have the VIN already to find out for you.

Otherwise, financing i've heard really good rates from PFS 2.9% and even lower at some local banks.

Good luck!

Well my dealer told me that they would not be able to lock in the March rates because my car is not here yet. I'll just have to call back April 1 to see what the new rates are.

And I'm also looking for something longer than a 2 year lease, since my car is heavily optioned and Porsche splits the depreciation with you on a lease only up to a certain MSRP. Will report back if I find anything good.

Probbably part of the problem of dealer not being able to lock in as they don't have the paperwork to register the vehicle until about half way between the time the ship unloads and they get the car. Can't register a vehicle without the paperwork. Just having the VIN is not enough. A lease is nothing more than a sale to third party even if it's Porsche Finance. They can't get title so they can't paper the lease.

thats too bad, hopefully the rates get even better with the same residuals this quarter

as for the split depreciation on heavy optioned car, thats the first I've heard about this. Does this apply to only the 2 year residuals?

I was told rates can be locked for 30 days, I was able to lock my lease rate in once my car was on a boat.
There is an MRM for each car and transmission. This is the Max MSRP that can be used to calculate residual, anything over that, you pay 100% depreciation. I believe it's independent of the length of the lease term. I don't know what it is for C2S, but for C2 the MRM was $106,380 when I checked a few months ago.

This. I was told the same. MRM for C4S with PDK is around 126K. Minus 4K for manual.

So on a $120K Carrera S what does that translate to in terms of payment?

Thanks in advance...

Strange how some are able to lock in the rate once the car is on the boat, but most cannot until the car actually arrives at the dealer. Maybe it depends on which state you live in?

Anyway I've confirmed with my dealer that the March rates have indeed been continued for April. That means the high residual leases and 2.49% financing are still available, which is pretty sweet. Turns out the 27 month lease seems to have the lowest monthly payments for me, which is probably what I'll end up going with.
