Best Umbrella for the 991

Have been caught in two rainstorms in the past 2 days in my 991 and figured its time to get a proper umbrella for the car. Is the Porsche umbrella the best one out there or does anyone have any recommendations. I prefer one that can fit in the slot on the door sill. Thanks.

Get the Porsche one that fits in the door sill. I've tried to get another small one to stick there with no luck. I have the Porsche one in my Turbo and going to get one for the 991 also.

One thing I don't understand is why there's no door sill storage on the driver side...there it'll be the most useful...not passenger side IMO..,

What I really don't understand is why that tiny, probably not that great, umbrella costs $100 (msrp). Is it made of some sort of rare unobtanium or adamantium? And to top it off:

Note: The next generation Carrera, Boxster, & Cayman models (2012+) require a new and smaller sized umbrella.

Just makes me cranky.

The name Porsche is on it... without the name it would cost $15
Just be glad you don't need a Ferrari umbrella. That would probably cost $250 and needed maintenance after you'd used it 3 times.....

I recently bought the cubby Umbrella and used it the first time this morning....it works really well and it opens and closes at a touch of a button....it also dries way quicker than a $15 umbrella!

I now know why, on my Cab that the umbrella slot is on the passenger side. I'd rather have the "Frunk" and engine lid opening mechanisms where they are on the driver's side than in some hidden location. Umbrella on other side makes sense to me.

i know what u mean..

i still can't believe i bought one for my car at that price

Still, it (at least the pre-2012 ones) looks better than few other umbrellas i tried..

and Suncoast will give slight discount to 6speed members if u ask for it.

This fits on the open door pocket of the 991/981. Looks great with the Martini logo bag too.

The factory umbrella for the 991 door sill slot lists for $105 in Canada (less the PCA discount). I would guess price in US is in the $80 to $85 range. Got mine yesterday.
