Saw Brooklyn991's thread here
Home Depot
Plastidip - $5.95 + tax
Painters Tape - $3.50 or something

eBay 911 Badge - waited for my eBay bucks to kick in and got this one from the UK because the other one in the U.S.had numbers individually taped so I'd had to line it up manually. Also the UK is cheaper.

But based on your post it appears it was as simple as pulling off the wide tips and reinstalling the twin tips. Is that correct? And thank you again for your post.

For the Base 991, we share the same as the 997 tips, that's what Fabspeed said.

These will work for the Base 991:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fabspeed-Por...8774ac&vxp=mtr

These will work for the 991s or 991 base w/ PSE:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fabspeed-Por...c04866&vxp=mtr

I wouldn't worry about being confused by Fabspeed's website. They sent me the wrong tips twice...https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-fabspeed.html

and yup just unscrew the original wide tips, pull off, and put the new tips in

Got my steering wheel today.

You will need:
  1. Thin Flathead
  2. 10mm Socket
  3. 12 Point Triple Square Socket Bit 12mm (I got a 1/2" drive)
  4. Drive Ratchet + 5" Extension Bar for Ratchet (mine was 1/2")

Steps:
  1. Pop your frunk.
  2. Remove the frunk liner.
  3. Battery is exposed now.
  4. Use 10mm to disconnect battery.
  5. Pop airbag through hole on the bottom.
  6. Make sure to position to flat head as shown and just push it straight up.
  7. Airbag will pop out very easily.
  8. Disconnect airbag from wheel.
  9. Use 12point 12mm to unscrew bolt.
  10. Pull steering wheel off.
  11. Put new steering wheel on.

done...

Great thread! Very nice mods! I too really like that black lettering! Plasti-dip FTW!! And the best thing is it just peels off when you want to change it!

What was the factory steering wheel that came with the car? Thanks!

I thought all 2013's in White were just that "White"? Carrera White is the name of the 2012 white? Paint code on my 2013 is 0Q which is not Carrera White but just White.

Just curious why you didn't order the steering wheels with the paddles at the time of purchase? Surely aftermarket on this item isn't cheaper. I replaced my steering wheel aftermarket and it was over $1,000. This option is only about $500 at time of purchase.

Are your wheels Platinum Satin as well? They look much darker and better on your car!

Ah nice, I was waiting to make use Amazon $5 of $25 Promotion. Thanks!

My Sales Rep is the one and only Keith Beitter, Internet Sales Manager. If Park Place keeps it up, I'm never getting a car locally ever again; the price difference is crazy.

Keith also provided great service
I sent you a PM regarding this...Please respond. Thanks! Or, if anyone else knows about him and the "deals" please inform me!...Thanks!

Car looks great! Were you on E90post? Your username looks familiar...I just switched over from an M3 too (2swift).

Anyway, noob question: I currently have the "911 Carrera" badge as well and want to just stick with the "911" as you did with yours. Did you debadge using the usual floss method? I haven't debadged a car since my RSX more than a decade ago lol. Did the replacement emblem come with double sided tape already?

2swift29? Kenny??

yessir I was on e90post (I'm on there as AoshichanX & jasonn)

I debadged with floss and goo gone. It was a b*tch to get off so I recommend doing it asap before the adhesive sets in any further.

My replacement emblem came with double sided tape. I recommend getting the one from the UK as it is lined up already on one strip. Just rip off half the strip, position, then rip off the other half as you put it on. Can't find it on eBay anymore though hrmm.

Anyway it was exactly like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...4fa179&vxp=mtr
except it was $27.

For this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PORSCHE-911-...651cb9&vxp=mtr

they send you the numbers separately.

EDIT: found the UK link (not sure if still selling)
