Techart Shifter Paddle Install

Yes, they are in alcantara with white +-. The base ones are silver painted but you can order them just about any way you want.

I am jealous. If I had known I could do this, I would have ordered with the Multi function steering wheel. Looks awesome. Congratulations.

How difficult is the install? Do the thumb rest buttons push in or are they fixed and nonfunctional?

I looked into doing this as a DIY, but once I found out what was involved, decided against it. You have to take the steering wheel off and take it apart. I am pretty handy, but it looked like a lot of work, and I did not want to mess with the possibility of accidentally tripping the air bag.

Thumb buttons become static and unusable from what I've read and seen. Almost bought this item then got used to the buttons.

The thumb rest are non-functional, they just fill the gap where the other buttons were on the front. So the results are the function like the paddle shifters on the sport steering wheel.

I had my Porsche dealer install and they charged $250.
