Road tripping w/911 blog
I now have over 3600 miles on it. In Meridian, TN for the night. On way back to Eureka Springs, AR for the Porsche Palooza. Expect that I will have around 6,000 miles on it when I get back to Dallas on Monday night. It appears that it has became even more powerful (and louder), as I have added miles to it.
Thank you for commenting. I was beginning to wonder if I was posting to many photos. I'll be sure to post more.
Hey Joe welcome to Georgia!!!! I'm in Atlanta and I get to Savannah quite often. Too bad you don't have time to run up to Charleston SC on highway 17 that is a beautiful drive to a beautiful city. Just saying if you have time for a day trip it is worth it. You are right though not a lot of porsches down there. Lot of toyotas.... you should fit right in LOL!!!
Did you have a opportunity to drive the Foothills Parkway on your way to Pigeon Forge? You chose the perfect time of the year to be driving through the Blue ridge mountains. Just spent three days in that area last week myself driving the mountain roads. As much as you liked the TOD, there are actually even better PCAR roads in that area to explore.
We went up the other curvy road from the Gatlingburg side. Love Tennessee. Will definitely be back and exploring more of the roads. The Tennessee part has been our favorite part of the trip so far. I appreciate the suggestion for the next time we are in the area.
I really am having a blast. I honestly can't imagine how any car could be better than the 911 as a sports car, or touring car. I am absolutely loving it.
I am but a lowly Brit ex-pat!
Keep enjoying your adventure matey! I headed for the Smokies in a couple of day... your tales got me fired up again.
Hey Joe,
Thanks for all the great shots and stories. I feel like I am traveling in the back seat with you...lol!
How do you feel about the Sport PASM on the trip? I really like the look being lowered but am curious about comfort.
And Lastly, do your ceramic breaks squeal at all?
Thanks for all the great shots and stories. I feel like I am traveling in the back seat with you...lol!

The car is exceptionally comfortable. The lower center of gravity is also great in that you feel very stable (no car sickness feeling). I have never once heard the breaks make any noise at all. I drove about 380 miles today. Will pass 4,000 miles on the odometer tomorrow in just over 2 weeks of ownership. There is not a single option that I have chosen, that I feel like I could do with out. The car is as close to perfect as I could ever expect. Did 139 mph on a very wet country road, in the rain today. Could have never done that in my old Z06.
I highly recommend the Sport PASM and the Carbon Ceramic Brakes. If I could only get one or the other, it would be the Sport PASM. That said, missing that deer by 2 feet was well worth the cost of the Carbon Ceramic Brakes in my opinion. Plus, I have not noticed any brake dust of any kind on my wheels. It may be there, but I don't see it on those platinum wheels.
I asked my sales person, and then the lead mechanic at the dealership about the revs. They said that I did not need to keep it under a certain RPM. I just needed to vary those RPMs. Vary them I have

????? , really beautiful 991 btw
