Is anyone still able to place an order for this car? I was told initially that my local dealer had a car to configure, but when I gave them my order details the build slot was gone.

I placed an order a few weeks ago with a Dallas dealer that surprisingly had an allocation. This was after being third on a waitlist in Houston for a while.

I've called a number of dealers around the country and have two observations: (i) dealers are being kept in the dark about whether and how many allocations they might get, and (ii) there can't be many spots left. But you might get lucky like me. I'd call around.

 

I placed an order on December 23rd and was told March build. It might be different for Canada.

 

I just came back from Porsche Fremont and they actually have one on the lot for sale (color gray with the cloth interior)... beautiful car..

Downtown LA Porsche had three 991 50s sitting in their storage lot a couple of weeks ago. Might want to check with them if you're interested.

 

Boston Porsche also has one for sale, grey with cloth. A very sharp looking car, and no wait PM if you want the GMs contact info

The 50 is beautiful.... Kind of torn before I ordered my soon to be C2S.....

I would assume there will be no need to discount these anytime soon, if at all?

 

Judging from the Downtown Porsche SA's attitude toward the three 50s sitting on their rooftop storage lot, I think you may be able to score a discount on one.

 

They had agreed on a 5% discount to order one for me-hmmm, maybe that is why the build slot disappeared.
