Not for the faint of heart.

For all those who are offended by a massively dirty Porsche in the snow, I give you…

It is really hard to see just how dirty it really is because of the silver color. It has been so freaking cold here that I do not want to wash it. I did have it out the other day in 5 inches of snow. With snow tires it handles better than by AWD Mazda with “no season” tires. Which I crashed the other day, in my driveway L So much for race car driver.

Yes, I believe so. AKA parking sensors in states where they are illegal. Some install on the intakes for stealth.

Thanks. Me too.

Yes, they are Escort 9500ic jammers. To clarify, Laser Interceptor is the "parking sensor". Escort does not have that function. The LI system turns on as a parking sensor then switches over to a laser jammer. Kind of silly but I still think it is one of the best systems out there.

I used to run them in the side air intake. But to make them stealth you had to run them pretty far in and I had concerns about performance (AKA got a ticket). So I moved them forward and then the outside corner sticks way out because they have to be facing straight forward. The best solution would probably be to put them where I have them but to cut a hole in the black plastic and slide them back about an inch. The car is a lease and just didn't free like it. I doubt that piece of plastic cost that much to replace. I am sure others have done it and have great pictures.

Second winter for the car. Car is just terrific. The only issue is that I get a PADM fault warning whenever it is really cold. I have taken it in and they cannot find a record of the fault in the car. Weird.

It has such great traction in the rear that it understeers like a pig when pushing it in the snow.

What about the salt on the roads? You're not getting any sort of buildup?
Good to see you're putting that awd to use!

IMO you don't need to worry about salt as much on modern cars. I have my detailer wash the car properly once or maybe twice a month to get all the salt off. Zero issues.

In fact my detailer also said I can just not wash the car all winter and bring it to him in the spring and its fine too. I think he would actually prefer that, LOL.

You can easily damage your paint if you do not wash the car properly in winter.

Agreed 100%

You could do more damage not washing it properly than I can do running it in the salt and snow. Excluding running it into anything solid.
