Hi everyone,

I have been lurking for about 8 months, deciding on what car to get S or not S, options, pricing. Thanks to everyone for their input and opinions. Finally went locally to buy a 2013 991 Carrera.
Leather Interior, Premium, Ventilated Seats, Sunroof in glass, Black/Black.
The most important thing to me was the lack of power steering plus. I found it just took too much of the road feel away for me. But driving one without it sold me. Now I have to say goodbye to an old friend a 2001 M3.

Congratulations on your decision: you're getting one heck of a machine. I also loved my M3, but the 991 is an entirely different animal. Please remember to post some pictures when you take delivery. I'm also happy to see that you went for the ventilated seats.

 

Congrats! Please post pics. I also got into a 991 C2S after a M3 (E93), and I think you'll love the 991. As CarreraPete said, it's a totally different animal. I find the 991 to be a far more rewarding car in almost every respect.

It was dry and high 30's today in Central NY. Dealer called and all set for delivery. In the end it was tough to say goodbye to Imola. The kids and the wife all said goodbye and off I went to pick up the 911. The drive home made me realize how outdated that M3 chassis was!.....Thanks everyone.
