Has anyone found a Shop Manual for the 991 yet?

I'd certainly benefit from something far more illuminating than the Owner's Manual.

Apparently there is no single shop manual for the 991. You have to subscribe to it online and I understand it's very expensive.

I am not aware of a 'shop manual' but I bought the Service Information book from Suncoast. Not very detailed but explains relatively well how everything works and you can use it as a starting point. I could not find it on the Suncoast website, but it is certainly available.

SM ATL, does it go into detail on maintenance items beyond the Owner's Manual? For example, to change bulbs? The Owner's Manual has one little page in it on Bulbs and it's totally useless.

The Technik book shown above was printed to highlight all the technical changes from the 997 to the 991 not as a manual.

I don't think there is any intention of Porsche publishing one.. All of their technical info is available through a huge yearly subscription ($5000 Euro) or on a pay for page by page basis. 95% of it are useless things that no one really cares about. But the part you want and need is there..

So the days of paying a couple hundred bucks for a shop manual with schematics etc are gone...

In reality, everyone who pays to download the various pdf pages could aggregate them and make our own, but it would probably be illegal akin to music sharing..

Personally, I've just decided to live with paying on a page by page basis.. In reality it probably is cheaper just to find and download what you want. But it doesn't really supporting "studying" the different systems and understanding how they work..

Kind of a shame.. One of the byproducts of the digital world, it's all available on line, but it's harder to use and get at than when they just used to make a book out of it..

This is correct, but looking at the schematics help finding out where stuff is and how it works (it helped me to identify and resolve my change over valve issue for instance), but there is indeed no instructions about maintenance or repairs.
Still $35 well spent, but not the full answer.

I'm sure we can find 100 members to cough up 50 Euro each..

Perhaps I'll start a fund and an online library where you can all "borrow" the manual.
