991 Targa!!!
Unbelievable engineering and design. I wonder where you crank if the top doesn't close? lol
All I can think of is the local Porsche technician trying to figure out what is wrong if the top isn't functioning?? How many motors are there to make this work?
Thanks for the pictures, they are very cool showing the whole process.

First, I have to say that I was never fond of the Targa Porsche. I always felt that because it caused a more severe angle to the rear it didn't really look as good as the coupe from the side.
The new Targa is an improvement but I still can't get my head around developing an automatic targa. The old targa removable top was light enough to remove by one person easily in a few seconds and stow. Now, there is a $15,000 mechanism to do the same thing with the added possibility of a problem and weight of having more motors. I'll stick to my coupe and not worry about weight. motors and potential squeaks for a lot less money.
Just my .02.

Love it! Genius! Sign me up. I'm gonna wait for that guy that buys it new, keeps it in the garage, drives about 3k miles a year, never drives in bad weather, takes a depreciation, then sells it to me....Love these guys. I'll just open my sunroof till then. Targa is the best of both worlds.
So maybe it's because I'm a ragtop guy (I have driven convertibles for 25 + years) and as a kid had a car with "T Tops", I don't quite get the Targa. Why do we want a half of a roof? Why not go topless and just get a cabriolet? If the wind bothers you, the 991 wind deflector works great!
