First full day out with my new 911S - Wow! Quick engine question plus pics

First off I must say 2 things: 1) I love this forum. You guys are extremely knowledgeable and passionate, thank you! 2) WOW - I now know why you guys love Porsche so much.

As I've mentioned before, this is my first purchase, EVER! I've wanted a 911 for a while and I finally went for it. I took it out yesterday for the first time all day and I honestly didn't want to get out. Thankfully, the roads on long island weren't that bad and the wonderful thing about the 911 is that you look straight onto the road, not the front of the car. The sport exhaust, PASM with sport mode is just unbelievable. It's almost too fun!

I've attached some pics of her first day out. I didn't even get it washed fully yet, I just wanted to drive! As I think I mentioned in an older post, the engine makes a weird honking/horn noise when I hit the gas or slow down. It's louder when I accelerate, but I tried to catch it in a video when I slowed down to a stop (i jumped out as fast as I can). If you put the volume up on your computer, you can definitely hear it. Its much louder in person even. Just curious what it is. I'll take it into Porsche this week.

Other than that, I LOVE the car. It is truly a joy to drive.

thanks everyone for all their help.

It almost sounds like a door ajar alarm. Is that what you are referring too? I can't say I recognize that from my car.

It certainly does look great. Wish I had a 911 for my first car!!

it's definitely coming from the back of the car by the engine. It sounds like it is right below the fans.

I THINK I heard something but, and I am certain I have absolutely no clue! I would take it to the dealer and ask a tech there to listen for it.

can't tell where it's coming from in the video...sounds like they need to get the engine bay cover off and check those fans too.

Enjoy the car, it looks great. I hear the noise but can't make out what it is. Have a Porsche tech listen to it.

Enjoy the car! It's a total blast to drive. And get the noise checked out. Better safe than sorry with this sort of thing.
