Possible immediate future 911 owner
Enough with the banter just lose a couple options like the LED's, seat belts, head rest, folding mirrors, park assist(the car is tiny) and get the wheels in platinum instead of Black-they look better anyways. That should free up 5-7k and just get the S. This is coming from a guy who has a 2013 C2. I track the car and it is great, more car than I can drive on the track but the 3.8 is just more athletic around town with the extra torque. You will see an S and for reasons of vanity want the red brakes.

With a 6% discount that puts you at 118,440....That is a good build for the car with the options mentioned and quite frankly if you want a better "deal" you may have to look preowned or just get less car if not willing to budge on anymore of the options. The other route is pay more money
Porsche makes bank on the fact you want to configure the car YOUR way, that's their game and how they really make their money. Heh - now they have to include backup cameras standard starting by May 2018, that's sure to crank 'em off - they can't charge for it!
Two schools of thought. Get the deal car OR get the car the way you want it. You're paying for it, you do it the way that works best for you. I just picked up a new 2014 Carrera S 10 days ago, and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I did the Porsche Configurator - though Google can because now all I ever get is Porsche ads.
At the end of the day though, I became a cheapass and bought a car the dealer wanted to clear out. 8% off MSRP, the car had been 'punched' and started on its warranty in Feb 2014, added 6 years / 100K full CPO warranty to it and Prepaid maintenance for the first three years along with a Battery tender tossed in the deal. All I have for options is Sport Chrono, Painted Wheel Caps, Agate Grey Paint, and Sport Design steering wheel. I though I had to have the Bose Radio and heated seats, but I don't miss them in the least. Know what? As a bonus, the lightly optioned cars weigh less - so they go faster

This is a great way to go if you can find a CPO with the options you want. But, depending on your desired specs, it can be a tough chore.
OP - do you mind sharing your build/spec sheet? I had a 991 base and loved it. But I paid nowhere near even the low end of your discounted price of $112K. If I were spending that kind of money, the first box I would check would be S.

Here is a well optioned CPO'd 13 C2S $114K for perspective.

My humble perspective is that if I am spending six figures on a car I don't want to compromise on it. I am willing to compromise by keeping the car for longer to help with the initial depreciation. While I own it I want all the stuff on it with no compromise.
OP (or anyone else) would certainly need to make sacrifices in this area but IMO a much better option than paying 120K for a C2. This is my opinion only, but the 3.4 is lacking in the power department. Yes, it can be rev'd high to get decent power but around town and the DD commute, the extra is important (to me) as dont have much hwy driving to/from work. As such, I would GLADLY go without the terrible BOSE, the folding mirrors, vent seats, sensors and even PSE to get into a S. Only requirement would be PDK and SC (for me).

If only it wasn't a black interior.
Get the car you want...If a C2 is going to be just fine go with that.
If i were looking right now I'd be looking at something like this...even though its a 13 work them a little more on the price and get a new car.
